Doctor Halper & Associates provides psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. We are located in Fairfax, Virginia and specialize in:
- Clinical Assessments of cognitive ability (IQ), personality, mood, social-emotional functioning, psychiatric illness, mental status, parental fitness, risk for violence.
- Psychoeducational Assessments of cognitive ability (IQ), academic achievement, learning disabilities, advanced placement, developmental delay, behavioral concerns.
Our evaluations are appropriate for forensic or court ordered testing and serve as the documentation needed to obtain academic placements, work or school accommodations, and admission to private school or specialized programs.
Doctor Halper & Associates is also uniquely qualified to provide assessments for individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing and use sign language to communicate.
We provide detailed, accurate, and comprehensive evaluations with recommendations that are realistic and solution oriented. We provide an environment that is calming and enables clients to perform to the best of their ability.
Cases are approached from the perspective of helping others understand and maximize areas of personal strength. Individuals not only receive an in depth analysis of their cognitive or personality profile, but feedback on how to best utilize their unique talents to counter balance or improve upon areas that are less fully developed.
